Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly invaded Hong and Gombi towns in Adamawa State.
The attack occurred on Thursday, November 13, after the terrorists were reportedly chased out of Mubi, another town in the state.
A resident of Gombi, Haruna Awwalu in confirming the attack said:
“They
(the terrorists) have burnt down the police station, the local
government secretariat and the market after overpowering the police.”
Another resident, Rabi Tanimu reportedly said that many villagers had fled while those left behind were locked up in their homes afraid.
This
comes after the Boko Haram sect reportedly gained control of Chibok in
Borno, where over 200 schoolgirls were kidnapped in April.
